As we look to the future and continued growth of HCC Coleman College, it is important for HCC to reconfirm its commitment to ensuring the success of students, support of faculty, and investment by the community. After thoughtful examination of our existing circumstances, to include the recent ADN program voluntary closure, and in the best interest of the institution, a transition is necessary for continued excellence.

Gastroenterologists from near and afar are turning to HCC to recruit endoscopy technicians.

HCC will be a key partner to provide training, apprenticeships and work-based learning opportunities to as many as 425 participants over the course of five years.

As your District I Trustee, I am fully committed to making sure HCC is prepared to engage the rapidly changing landscape of higher education and will continue to provide the very best in education and workforce training. No matter where you are on your academic or professional journey HCC offers a great setting for you to enhance and complete your credentials.

It is my pleasure to communicate with you through my inaugural newsletter. As your Trustee for District IV, I eagerly look forward to creating and promoting the numerous opportunities Houston Community College has to offer. On January 24, 2024, I was elected by my colleagues as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees. Amongst my many duties, strengthening and expanding the relationship between HCC and the communities we serve is a priority. Access is vital to our mission of student success.
