Meet Endoscopy Technician student Tawana Atkins, and find out what makes her a Coleman Champion!

When officials at Houston Community College (HCC) saw a decline for the third consecutive year in the National Council Licensure Examination pass rate of its Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students, they thoughtfully decided to voluntarily close the program. The goal: Strengthen curriculum alignment, ease transition into offerings of academic courses and ensure student success. 

For the third year, Houston Community College (HCC) is set to host an annual conference to gather some of the nation’s greatest minds to explore the latest advancements in AI and the abundant academic and professional opportunities in the field.

A reskilling grant will help 40 people earn a Sterile Processing certificate from HCC for free and enter the workforce in approximately six months.

On March 23, scores of Houston-area middle school students will converge at HCC for the HCC Scripps Regional Bee with the winners moving on to the national Bee May 26 in National Harbor, Maryland.
