HCC Gulf Coast Region Apprenticeship Hub, HR Houston and SHRM Foundation to sign MOU to advance apprenticeship programs in region

The Houston Community College Gulf Coast Region Apprenticeship Hub, HR Houston and the SHRM Foundation will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance workforce development and promote human resource apprenticeship programs in the Gulf Coast region.

The signing takes place on July 14 at 10 a.m. at the HCC Southeast College campus at 6815 Rustic Street.

The Gulf Coast Region Apprenticeship Hub is dedicated to bridging skills gaps and nurturing a highly skilled workforce for industries in the region. The collaborative connects employers, educational institutions and individuals who are seeking apprenticeships to foster careers.

The SHRM Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, supports education, research and professional development in the HR arena to empower HR professionals and enhance the workforce.

HR Houston connects HR professionals to build knowledge, relationships and solutions and holds meetings, conferences, webinars and seminars. It has 1,800 members.

Key representatives will attend the signing and discuss their shared vision of expanding apprenticeship opportunities and building strong partnerships between academia and industry.
