Students interested in health science careers now have the option of taking their pre-healthcare courses in the evenings and weekends at a new Houston Community College (HCC) satellite office in Midtown.

HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences at Midtown (HCC Coleman College at Midtown) will begin offering classes for the Fall 2024 semester in the existing HCC administration building at 3100 Main St.

At this location, students can take English, Medical Terminology, and the other prerequisite courses they need for the specific health science program they intend to pursue at HCC Coleman College in the Texas Medical Center.

Classes will be held in the evenings and weekends so students who work traditional business hours can still begin their healthcare pathway and attend their classes.

“There’s a great need for highly skilled and capable healthcare workers in the Houston area, and at HCC Coleman College at Midtown we’re providing an avenue for working individuals to pursue a healthcare career,” said Dr. Lutricia Harrison, HCC Coleman College interim president.

In addition to the convenient classes at the Midtown location, students have easy access to the Metro rail or the free parking garage at 3200 Main.
