Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - TCEQ
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) strives to protect our state's human and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. TCEQ’s goal is clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste.
TCEQ offers Occupational Licensing examinations through computer-based testing. Please visit the TCEQ website for information regarding preparation, requirements, and necessary approvals to take an occupational licensing exam.

Requirements
Approval by TCEQ is required before registering for this exam. Contact TCEQ for approval inquiries: 512-239-1000
TCEQ ID requirements:
- Valid government-issued identification with photo and signature (i.e., driver’s license, passport, state-issued ID, military ID, etc.) MUST BE a current recognizable photo ID.
- Second form of ID (i.e., any of the previously listed photo IDs, social security card, birth certificate, credit or debit card, student ID, library card, etc.)
- Social Security number, required to login to TCEQ exam.
NOTE: All forms of ID MUST be an original document; photocopied documents are not acceptable and documents cannot be presented on a cell phone or any electronic device.
