Mission

The Houston Community College Personalized Corequisite Action Plan (PCAP) is committed to student success and assists students in completing corequisite courses in a timely manner through early intervention, tutoring, advising, and individualized pathways. The plan provides extended support for students who do not successfully complete the college level course during the corequisite pairing.

Vision

The Houston Community College Personalized Corequisite Action Plan (PCAP) will provide individualized institutional support to students enrolled in corequisite courses by streamlining communication between support services, faculty, and students, and by ensuring that necessary tools and resources within the college are available, accessible, and apparent.

Values

Self-Advocacy

We foster student self-advocacy and seek to help students develop into resourceful, well-rounded individuals with the confidence to ask questions, speak up, reach out, and seek help and support as needed.

Communication

We are committed to clear, consistent, and timely communication with our students to help them succeed in their corequisite courses and college in general.

Growth

We believe in the idea that success comes in many forms and emphasize growth and learning as the ultimate goals of the college classroom.

Collaboration

We value teamwork and view student success as the culmination of interdepartmental collaboration especially between tutoring services, advising, and instructional programs.
