Counseling

Our master's- and doctoral-level counseling staff promotes access and student success for all students through a total-collegiate experience. Counselors, in partnership with instructors, provide high-quality support services for the HCC student body. Our many locations provide students easy access to counselors.

The counseling staff offers educational, vocational and personal counseling to current and future students. We offer career interest assessments, course placement testing, career/life planning, computer-assisted career guidance programs, admissions and registration assistance and GED and Challenge exams. We provide transfer and four-year college information as well. Counselors are located at each of six colleges, the system office and the departments of distance education, online, international students and veteran affairs.
