Medical Billing and Coding training offered at HCC Missouri City Campus

Fort Bend County has experienced a recent growth spurt which has created a need for more trained office staff in the medical field. The Houston Community College Missouri City Campus will help fill that need by offering two certificates: Medical Business Office and Comprehensive Coding System this semester.

The day's report features a look at the recent Civil Rights movement discussion at the HCC West Loop Campus. Civil Rights activist Mamie King-Chalmers was the featured speaker. The event was a part of HCC's celebration of Black History Month.

HCC kicks off Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive

This is the second year HCC has participated in the event. Between now and Wednesday, February 17, students, faculty, staff and community members can drop off non-perishable food items in the red and white donation bins located near the front desk at the HCC West Loop, Stafford, Gulfton, and Missouri City campuses.

HCC VAST Academy helps student shine

VAST, which stands for Vocational Advancement and Social Skills Training, provides post-secondary transition programs and comprehensive support services for differently-abled individuals. The goal is to lead students to independence and ultimately, employment.
